We use an asset-based approach as opposed to a deficit-based approach; asset-based approaches are not problem-solving but allow people to contribute positively in areas where they are knowledgeable. Our team has extensive experience in designing barrier-free large and small group consultation processes that are accessible to hard-to-reach groups, transparent, inclusive and readily translatable into clear, concrete strategic directions. We have training/experience in high conflict situations. Our process is designed to obtain input, and follow the data gathering process with a comprehensive and rigorous analysis using a Structured Qualitative Analysis. Most planners, engineers and technical personnel find the SQA reporting to be very useful in designing suitable options that the public, politicians, administrators and managers will support. We create an atmosphere that builds trust, confidence and creativity between our clients and their stakeholders to develop the collective power to develop durable, reasonable, responsible long term solutions.
