Future Forward, Fort McMurray: 2030, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, 2006-07
Responsible for designing and implementing a multiphase 15-month long city-wide consultation process resulting in a “community created and owned” 25 year vision for the City of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Public input was gathered iteratively through invitational and open events and an online survey and data was analyzed using both statistical analysis and structured qualitative analysis. The resulting report was used to guide an extensive stakeholder workgroup process which G&A led that allowed community members to create the vision, goals and suggested targets for Fort McMurray. These were unanimously approved by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Council July 10, 2007. The same group of consultants also worked on the design of the implementation phase of this project.
